Juventus vs AC Milan
Juventus will aim to extend their winning streak as they clash with AC Milan in their Serie A fixture to be held at the Juventus Stadium come Sunday.
The defending champions eked out a 1-0 victory against Torino in a match that was much closer than expected. Matthijs de Ligt delivered the goal at the 70th minute to reassert their dominance over Torino.
They still lead at the top of the table with 29 points. However, Inter Milan are still lurking around with 28 points. Juve can’t afford any slip-ups in their next few games, but it helps that they’ll have a friendly schedule ahead.
Meanwhile, AC Milan continues its rollercoaster of a season as they sit at https://gelandangbola.com/wp-admin/edit.phpthe 11th spot in the standings. They recently lost against AS Roma and Lazio while they grabbed a much-needed victory against the league’s cellar dwellers in SPAL.
Juve’s Serie A 2019 odds of winning this game are obviously high, but it should be interesting to see on how AC Milan will respond to this daunting challenge.
Today, SBOBET previews this match ahead on Sunday.
Talking Points
Cristiano Ronaldo looking to make amends
Fans were shocked when Cristiano Ronaldo was subbed out in the closing minutes during their recent Champions League win over Lokomotiv Moscow, which left the 34-year-old superstar dismayed.
As seen in their bench footage, Ronaldo was sounding off against Maurizio Sarri showing his unhappiness to the decision. Thankfully for Sarri, his decision did not cost the Italian champions as Douglas Costas scored the game-winning goal during added time.
But perhaps there’s a good reason as to why Sarri did the unprecedented move. The Juventus manager was looking for some additional spark at the front and he brought in Paulo Dybala after a wasteful performance by the Portuguese international. At the same time, Sarri was wary of his superstar’s nagging knee issues.
“Cristiano Ronaldo was angry because he’s not ok. He’s had a niggle in his knee for the past few days, which is overloading his thigh, which tires out too much. I took him off because I was scared that he might do himself real harm,” explained Sarri.
He lacked energy and seemed uninspired as of late, which may be attributed to his subpar performance in the ongoing Champions League. Ronaldo has only managed to chip in one goal in four games, plus he failed to tally a single assist.
But now back at home, Ronaldo is back to his personal playground where he’s already emerged as one of the top scorers for the 2019/20 Serie A season. He has notched five goals and one assist already, including some of the best Serie A 2019 highlights.
As Juve will try to break away from Inter to get their eighth consecutive title, I expect Cristiano Ronaldo to perform at his otherworldly level moving forward, and what a time to do so than against the struggling AC Milan.
AC Milan’s lack of defensive purpose
Even with the entry of new manager Stefano Pioli, AC Milan’s struggles continue to haunt them this season.
In their recent losses, the Rossoneri defence was often caught out of position especially in the second half where their opponents took advantage of their low fitness levels.
Particularly in their match against Lazio, two of the team’s most dependable players in Alessio Romagnoli and Gianluigi Donnarumma had their share of mental mistakes which paved the way for Joaquin Correa’s game-winning goal at the 83rd minute. Romagnoli didn’t realize the developing attack until it was too late, while Donnarumma’s body position was terrible in putting resistance against the Lazio goal.
For some reason, when the clock hits around the 75-minute mark, Pioli’s wards tend to fall asleep defensively while not putting any attacking work. That’s a testament to the lack of confidence and belief to their new coach’s system and they have to work on it fast.
In their upcoming game against the defending champs, Pioli will try to fortify their backline by adding Conti and Hernandez as the respective wing backs for their 3-4-2-1 position. That should make their defence more compact against Juventus.

Juventus and AC Milan have had a long history together as they played in 58 matches. The Bianconeri have won in 29 matches while the Rossoneri have won in 13 along with 16 draws.
AC Milan’s last win against Juventus dates back to October 2016 in a 1-0 tally.
Betting Tip
Juventus vs AC Milan | Juventus Asian Handicap -1.00 @ 1.74 | |
November 11, 03:45 (GMT+8) |
Juventus are rightfully placed at 1.40 while AC Milan are at 7.20 and a draw at 4.40 in our 1×2 market, which indicates a one-sided match in favour of the home team.
The defending champions are expected to score a lot of goals on this one given their vaunted lineup. But if AC Milan can — for some reason — pull away with a draw, it should be considered a miracle in itself already.
