Now for the Midweek Joy of Football Betting!

Midweek football, midweek football betting.

This is a full programme of football games in the most exciting league in the world – what’s not to like!

WEEK 14 WEDNESDAY:

Brighton v Crystal Palace

This is a big game for both sides.

Pride is on the line on what is known as the M23 derby because of the motorway that separates the clubs.

After Brighton’s spirited showing at Old Trafford and Palace’s late winner against Stoke, both teams can go into this contest with purpose and renewed optimism.

Leicester City vs Tottenham Hotspur

This could have developed into a bit of a feisty fixture after the Foxes pipped Spurs to the 2016 Premier League.

It hasn’t, although some Spurs fans rue the fact they missed out on the top prize to the biggest underdogs for decades.

As both sides love to attack, this meeting will be anything but dull.

Watford vs Manchester United

They have an impressive young manager in Marco Silva and Watford were every inch as impressive against Newcastle at the weekend.

The Hornets can now go into a contest against second placed United with confidence after their 3-0 success on Tyneside.

United need to keep winning to pursue leaders Man City so this could be quite an attacking contest.

West Bromwich Albion vs Newcastle United

Gary Megson will still likely be in charge for this one and after his debut as caretaker boss secured a draw at Wembley, what price a home win.

Newcastle are certainly struggling at the moment, this at a time when the club could be sold.

It is is hard to say whether this is impacting on events on the field is unclear, but Rafa Benitez could do with a Geordie victory, while the Baggies need daylight from the bottom three.

WEEK 14 THURSDAY:

Arsenal vs Huddersfield Town

After their slightly fortunate win at Burnley, the Gunners are now in the top four and will see the arrival of Huddersfield (likely exhausted after their efforts against Man City) as a perfect chance to at least consolidate that spot.

Another victory would set them up for next weekend’s big clash with Manchester United.

This fixture immediately throws up memories of the late Herbet Chapman – the great manager who led both clubs to back-to-back league titles in the 1920s and 30s before his untimely death.

Chelsea vs Swansea City

Some of the resoluteness and intensity that saw Chelsea win the Premier League last season was on display in their weekend draw at Anfield.

The champions remain third and will see the visit of relegation-threatened Swansea as a must-win.

Swans boss Paul Clement will receive a good reception against his former club but may be hard pushed to get anything else.

Everton vs West Ham United

The return of David Moyes – much maligned by Everton fans after his struggles since his departure in 2013 – comes at a key time at Goodison Park.

For all his struggles, how Everton could do with such a reliable, understated character in their dug-out.

Moyes may not work wonders at West Ham but he will keep them up.

The decision for Everton to get rid of Ronald Koeman and then not replace him more than a month on looks worse with every passing week.

Manchester City vs Southampton

The leaders are threatening to run away with the title and will attack a Southampton side which seem to be defensively quite open on its travels.

Yet, the Saints will travel to the Etihad with confidence after a 4-1 drubbing of Everton.

The question remains. Can anyone stop City? I’ve certainly not seen a club with such strength in depth.

Stoke City vs Liverpool

They may have been unlucky to lose at bottom club Crystal Palace but that doesn’t help Stoke boss Mark Hughes.

He is under pressure going into this one but at least has the mercurial talent of Shaqiri to call upon.

Now he needs his defence to tighten up.

Liverpool know all about that too, although showed a marked improvement in their draw with Chelsea.
