Since taking over the coaching reins for Bayern Munich last November 2019, Hansi Flick has steered his team back on top of the Bundesliga table, halfway into the Champions League quarterfinals, and into the DFB Pokal Final Four.
In fact, because of his success in just a short amount of time, the management decided to extend his deal up until 2023 since they have high Bundesliga 2020 odds of winning their eighth straight championship.
The Bavarians have been firing on all cylinders prior to this season’s suspension and the squad looks rejuvenated under his tutelage, winning the hearts of the fans in the process.

Being a great manager involves exceptional interpersonal skills and Hansi Flick has shown the capability to build relationships with his players.

Their defence has been a boon courtesy of some coaching expertise from Hansi Flick since he has put his men in a great position to succeed.
For instance, putting David Alaba and Alphonso Davies at centre-back and left-back was a genius move while Benjamin Pavard provides enough support at right-back. On the other hand, Jerome Boateng has never looked this better on defence for the past four years.
Add along with a potent attack led by the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Serge Gnabry, Bayern Munich should continue to torch their opponents while adding to their collection of Bundesliga 2020 highlights.
A knack for developing young studs
Hansi Flick’s vision for the team has always been egalitarian by nature as he believes that playing minutes should be earned regardless of your tenure.
However, what makes him a great manager so far is his ability to take advantage of their youth. Being a rich club that can compete with the best is always great, but fine-tuning the young guns is arguably just as important for the future of the squad.
Flick is not afraid to mix it up when he feels the need to do so. As I mentioned earlier, putting Alaba and Davies together at the back has been a revelation for the Bavarians especially since Niklas Sule suffered an ACL injury last October.
Aside from Davies and Alaba, putting Joshua Zirksee in the first team has paid dividends as he played a key role off the bench.
Since his promotion last November, the 18-year-old Dutchman registered two goals in consecutive games before the winter break and he even responded well by scoring another goal in lieu of Robert Lewandowski’s absence during their fixture against Hoffenheim in matchday 24.
Flick is not afraid to speak up
From the time he was still being considered as the manager for the long haul, Hansi Flick has already shown the gravitas to build the future of the club.
During a full-length press conference last March, the grizzled mentor pushed to have ultimate control with the club to carry out his full plan.
He wanted to have veto power in terms of making roster decisions, but he is also open to suggestions assuming it’s for the betterment of the club.
While his transfer plans are yet to be revealed, it’s expected that he won’t be afraid to swing for the fences should the opportunity presents itself.
But either way, whether he will chase the big names or not, Bayern Munich is already in good shape with Hansi Flick at the helm. And zas we wait for the season to resume, signing him for a few more years should be considered a great move in itself.
