However, Niko Kovac and the rest of FC Hollywood kept their heads down and focused on dominating every game they could. Slowly but surely they climbed up the league table. They finally had a chance at finally catching up to Borussia Dortmund stuttered at Augsburg.
The Bavarians then went out against Augsburg and put one of the most lop-sided Bundesliga 2019 results. A superb brace from Robert Lewandowski was the star of the 5-1 rout they handed Borussia Monchengladbach.

Serge Gnabry put this game beyond doubt when he scored the fourth goal. Joshua Kimmich was running up the right wing in the 75th minute when he launched a precise low cross to Lewandowski. The Poland international quickly bulleted a header towards goal that Sommer managed to block. A scramble for the ball happened inside the box, and the former Arsenal man got to the ball first to slot it home.
Lewandowski added insult to injury when he converted a penalty that was given due to Hazard’s holding foul. It was a terrible time for Gladbach fans at Borussia-Park while the traveling Munich supporters were head over heels after the result.

This is the first time in five games that Muller started a competitive football game for Bayern. His performance after this game will make it hard for Kovac to take him off the XI. He made three key passes and finished the games with 1.28 expected goals and 1.08 expected assists.

Meanwhile, Gladbach have now lost three of their last four games and are in danger of slipping outside the Champions League places. They must snag some wins against Mainz and Freiburg if they want to ward Frankfurt and Leverkusen off fourth.
