Upsets make for thrilling live betting

It’s fun whenever games go according to your predictions as they validate your online betting talents. It’s also an exhilarating feeling when you make a leap of faith with your punts and your team returns the love you gave two-fold.

Yesterday’s games were a treat for the safe punters and the risk takers. Some games happened as planned, while there were others that defied betting odds and left us with gaping mouths.

Chicago Bulls 115-109 Charlotte Hornets

It was a fine day for Chicago to turn their fortunes around.

Charlotte didn’t do bad themselves, but Rajon Rondo and Nikola Mirotic did enough damage to help the Bulls win their first game in six. They still have a chance of making it to the playoffs if they manage to keep this stellar form going.

Dallas Mavericks 78-100 Toronto Raptors

The Dallas Mavericks did all they could; however, the Raptors just had too much in the tank for Dirk and co to do any damage. Sophomore Norman Powell did well for Dwane Casey, scoring 19 points and grabbing five rebounds on 75% shooting.

Washington Wizards 100-119 Minnesota Timberwolves

The trust and time the Timberwolves organisation has shown for Ricky Rubio are finally paying off.

The Spanish maestro was the man of the night as he scored 22 points and dished 19 assists to help his Timberwolves cool the efficient Wizards at home. Albeit a little too late, Minnesota are finally getting their act together.

Atlanta Hawks 99-107 San Antonio Spurs

The game was a welcome-back party for Kawhi Leonard as the San Antonio Spurs contained the Atlanta Hawks. The star forward did a lot of work: he ended the night with 31 points, five rebounds, four assists and 38 minutes of unforgiving defence. The rest of the Spurs did well in supporting their star from the fringes.

Milwaukee Bucks 93-113 Memphis Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies took the lead from tip-off and stopped Milwaukee from getting back in the game. Vince Carter continues to be an inspiration for many players after a perfect shooting night. He is the first 40-plus-year-old player in NBA history to attempt and convert six three-pointers.

Mike Conley and Marc Gasol also played well, putting pressure on the tall and lanky Bucks.

Los Angeles Clippers 108-114 Utah Jazz

This was a game that could have gone either way, as the lead never went past the 10-point mark until the fourth quarter. The Jazz won this game thanks to the spectacular plays made by the backcourt and wing players. Gordon Hayward, George Hill, Joe Ingles and Joe Johnson combined for 78 of the Jazz’s 114.

Orlando Magic 115-120 Sacramento Kings

Both teams struggled to keep their turnovers to single digits and Orlando kept on going for the long-range bombs even when they fail to convert them. While it may seem like a festival of errors for some, Kings fans are probably relieved that the game ended in a victory.

Los Angeles Lakers 101-129 Denver Nuggets

The Lakers were already counted out of contention by halftime, and they weren’t able to flip the script by the final buzzer. Nikola Jokic had a solid night, but the Nuggets bench did the most damage to the young, scrappy Lakers.
