This Texas thriller is the best playoff game yet!

Houston Rockets 107-110 San Antonio Spurs

It took one overtime and a three-point lead to decide the game, and man-oh-man this is what the NBA Playoffs are all about!

Sports betting fans would have been already thrilled if the match ended in the fourth with a draw after a brilliant showing from both teams, but basketball just doesn’t work that way. However, it was undoubtedly a brilliant treat – and the best in the playoffs so far – especially for those who bet online through Asian Handicap Betting.

James Harden had another triple-double for Houston with 33 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, while San Antonio’s Kawhi Leonard didn’t let himself get outclassed as he displayed an all-around performance, recording 22 points, 15 boards, four assists and a couple of steals and blocks.

Leonard sat out the overtime of the highly-competitive Game 5 after suffering a left ankle injury earlier in the match, but the Spurs did prove that they can take care of the rest and get the job done when it matters most.

Danny Green gave San Antonio a much-needed late boost as he scored seven of the Spurs’ nine points in overtime – all after scoring only nine throughout regulation time. His back-to-back baskets in the final minute, which include a go-ahead three-pointer and a lay-up drive, also gave them the lead for good.

Moreover, Manu Ginobili—who finished with 12 points to go with seven rebounds and five dimes—was also crucial in their victory as he blocked what could have been a game-tying three from Harden in the dying seconds.

Patrick Beverley and Ryan Anderson did their best to provide Houston more scoring punch, though their efforts were not enough with Eric Gordon falling short and Lou Williams failing to spark the bench like he did in their previous meetings.

LaMarcus Aldridge and Patty Mills, meanwhile, impressed for San Antonio, combining for 38 points on more than 40 minutes of action.

It was indeed an incredible battle of contrasting philosophies and style, though in the end, it was the Spurs’ defensive masterclass that came out on top. The Spurs limited the Rockets to just 16 made threes out of their 48 attempts while also forcing them to commit 15 turnovers.

Game 6 will be on Friday at the Toyota Center in Houston where the Rockets will try to extend the series to a do-or-die finale.
