I don’t see them winning over Wolfsburg, especially after the visitors pulled off an impressive draw against Leipzig.
Werder Bremen vs Mainz 05
Bremen have pulled close to Hamburg thanks to a string of victories over the past month, and they have a shot of shooting to the safe zone if they manage to win against Mainz. Given the way the two teams have performed as of late, I wouldn’t mind putting some of my money on the hosts.
Eintracht Frankfurt vs Schalke 04
Schalke have impressively forced their way into the title race with their superb plays through the first half of the season. Guido Burgstaller has been bringing in the goals for the Royal Blues and will be a definite threat when they face off against Frankfurt. This game has exciting odds, and you’ll win big if you put your money on Schalke -0.25 @ 2.53.
Augsburg vs SC Freiburg
Augsburg will be in for an interesting test when they face the high-scoring Freiburg at the WWK Arena.
They will be without their suspended right-back Daniel Opare, a vital cog in Manuel Baum’s defensive scheme. However, they do have the attacking talents of Michael Gregoritsch and Alfred Finnbogason to try and outscore Freiburg’s Nils Petersen.
Stuttgart vs Bayern Munich
Bayern may have slowed down in scoring, but their winning streak still proves just how dominant they still are in the domestic league. I don’t even consider the possibility of Stuttgart making a 180 and beating Bayern at home, but they could aim for a handicap victory. Why not try Stuttgart +1.25 @ 2.21?
WEEK 17 SUNDAY:
Borussia Dortmund vs Hoffenheim
This is definitely the must-watch game of the weekend.
Dortmund have finally stopped their horrible skid thanks to Peter Stoger’s tactical changes, while Hoffenheim barely got the three points from a persistent Stuttgart team. The BVB are the sure favourites to win this game as they host the 1899 with supreme confidence. I don’t see why you shouldn’t place your money on Dortmund -1.00 @ 1.81.
Hannover 96 vs Bayer Leverkusen
Hannover are stumbling to find their form while Leverkusen are on a great run to end the year. The visitors will want to finish 2017 with style and will surely throw everything they have on their besieged hosts. Fans should expect goals from Kevin Volland and Martin Harnik.
WEEK 17 MONDAY:
RB Leipzig vs Hertha Berlin
Berlin finally got their first December win after hosting the inconsistent Hannover, but Leipzig will be looking to slam them back to the ground. The Red Bulls have the better quality players and will be pounding them as hard as they did to Wolfsburg.
However, the club has struggled to claim winnable games against Mainz and Wolfsburg. This is a chance for the capital’s Bundesliga team to extend the winless streak of Leipzig’s young guns.
