My first tip involves Hull City, the club actually holding the No17 spot.
Thanks to Marco Silva and goals from Everton loanee Oumar Niasse, Hull City clawed out of the bottom of the table and into relative (but uncertain) safety. They are still inconsistent, winning 2-0 against Watford after 3-1 defeats to Manchester City and Stoke City.
Southampton will offer a challenge somewhat similar to that posed by Watford, so they have a chance of putting distance between themselves and the bottom three. The challenge will be on how they will break through Southampton’s strong defence.
I think the Tigers will be able to do just enough to at least draw or win against Southampton, so my first tip is a 🌟🌟 bet for Hull City +1.00 @ 1.76.
Manchester United vs Swansea City (April 30, 19:00 GMT+8)
Swansea just need one win to get 17th and start a late sprint to safety. However, the Red Devils of Manchester will be there to stop them.
Of course, Manchester United will be a daunting match on paper. They have many of the world’s best players on their payroll, with one of the most charismatic minds in football leading from the touchline. It’d be pretty easy to say that this will end in an easy victory at home for United.
However, Swansea have a great chance of upsetting United. The Red Devils only have one day of rest after the Manchester Derby, so I doubt that they will be able to field their best team. Should Paul Clement play his cards right, Fernando Llorente and Gylfi Sigurdsson will lead one of this season’s most improbable upsets. Moreover, their recent losses were only by one goal, so facing a weaker United side works wonders for them.
Stars seem to align for the Swans, so my second tip is a 🌟🌟🌟 bet for Swansea +1.25 @ 1.96.
Middlesbrough vs Manchester City (April 30, 21:05 GMT+8)
The Sky Blue side of Manchester will be dealing with the last side trying to keep their Premier League boat afloat. Unlike the previous two teams, however, Middlesbrough are right down on their luck.
A 4-0 loss to Premier League darlings Bournemouth put them behind Swansea City by an impossible eight points. Steve Agnew needs to lead his side to straight victories if he wants to extend ‘Boro’s stay in the Premiership.
The same good fortune befalls the 19th-placed club and then some: City will be travelling north two days after their duel with United, so Pep Guardiola won’t be able to field his best players. Moreover, the injury bug sidelined many of their key attackers, making this the perfect time for ‘Boro’s Alvaro Negredo to strike.
I actually believe Middlesbrough have a chance of drawing this game; heck, they can even pull another giant killing and win this game if their tactics work. My final tip is another 🌟🌟🌟 for ‘Boro +1.50 @ 2.13.
