There’s no denying it; the UEFA Champions League final is the biggest domestic clash in European Football…if not the world.
And all eyes will be on the Wanda Metropolitano this weekend when Liverpool takes on Spurs for Europe’s biggest prize. It’s a clash that Premier League fans, in particular, will be relishing as everyone will have their favourite between these two.

Few would have given Klopp’s team much hope when they kicked off in the second leg of their semi-final against Barcelona, 3-0 down after the first leg. That was, without doubt, one of the top Champions League 2019 highlights, but Spurs have launched their own spectacular comebacks to reach the final in Madrid.
A stunning hat-trick from Lucas Moura, including a third goal right at the death, took Spurs through to the final having broken Ajax hearts and Mauricio Pochettino knows his team will never give up.

Liverpool star striker Mo Salah is hoping to banish the painful memories of last season’s Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid, when the Egyptian limped off with an injury in the first half, leaving Reds fans wondering what might have been.
And now, 12 months later, he hopes things will be very different at the Wanda Metropolitano as Liverpool heads into the final as favourites. He said: “It’s not just a dream. I hope it becomes a reality and I score in the final. I am so happy that I have the chance to play another final. I hope I can play the full game this time. I am very excited about that. I hope we can right what happened last season, get a good result, and win the competition.”

Jurgen Klopp’s side has one of the most feared attacks in world football but the threat to opposing defences comes from all over the pitch. Liverpool’s wing-backs Trent Alexander Arnold and Andrew Robertson have made an incredible 23 assists in the Premier League season, a remarkable return when you consider their defensive responsibilities. And they will be sure to test their opposite numbers in Madrid.
Cometh the hour, cometh the man
Spurs fans are hoping their injury-plagued skipper Harry Kane will be fully fit at the weekend and coach Pochettino has been sweating on the fitness of his main man, but Kane has announced himself ready to play. And he is sure to occupy the thoughts of the Liverpool team and fans.
Kane was injured in the first leg quarter-final clash against Manchester City, but if he is anywhere near 100 per cent he could be the man to win the game. Liverpool wing-back Andy Robertson says: “Of course, Harry Kane is a world-class striker and whether he’s fit or not, he could be a match winner for them. We obviously hope not.
“It doesn’t really make a difference which team starts for them; we need to concentrate on us and on being 100 per cent defensively and attacking. It doesn’t really matter who plays.”
Spurs fans won’t agree with that!
History
Liverpool has had the better of the head-to-head, winning 26 of the 56 meetings since 1993, with 14 wins for Spurs and 16 draws.
Harry Kane and Lucas Moura have five goals each in this competition while Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino all have four each for the Reds.
And Liverpool has the psychological edge, having done the double over Spurs this season with a pair of 2-1 wins

At SBOBET odds of 1.94, Liverpool is odds on to win this match, but it’s going to be a nail-biter for both sets of fans. Spurs at 3.75 and the draw at 3.45 in 90 minutes are both possible outcomes and I don’t see either team having it all its own way.
